The Windmill Hotel has opened UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT on 1st November 2012. Sarah and Mark, after holding their wedding venue here back in June 2012, decided to buy the lease and would like to extend a warm and friendly welcome to their Grade 2 listed building which is 400 years old with a vast amount of history. The Windmill Hotel is a small hotel suitable for both families and business. Each room is en suite with tea and coffee making facilities and there is a bar and a restaurant which is used for breakfast and evening meals.We are situated only 15 minutes from Cadwell Park motorcycle circuit, and only 10 minutes from the coast.We have three golf courses close to us, large course at Woodthorpe, 10 minuites away, and two in Louth, 20 minutes away. We offer all day bar meals, cooked fresh to your order, and also have an extensive menu for the restaurant, or if you prefer, you can enjoy the same menu's sat by our open fire in the bar. Our hotel is pet freindly, so please feel free to bring Rover. Friday and Saturday nights are entertainment nights with discokaraoke supplied by our resident DJ. We have an in house entertainment system, so if requested we will switch on any night of the week if desired, as Sarah was a professional singer and still likes to keep her hand in, so to speak. We like our guests to feel at home while they stay with us, and will do whatever we can to enable you have a pleasant and comfortable stay with us, departing happy and rested.Alford is a historic market town. Noted for its smuggling history and famous customs officer Thomas Paine who went on to write the book The Rights of Man. During the American War of Independence, Mr Paine was noted with scribing the phrase United States of America. His office was located in our very building in what is now Room 105, which is our BridalHoneymoon Suite. Our kitchen and restaurant have now been awarded 5 stars. We also cater for bikers weekends and midweek breaks. All welcome. We are family run, and have all been in the music business previously, so music still plays a large part in our live's. If you like entertainment and are music minded, this is the place to be.
